Your Local CrossCountry Mortgage Loan Officer
Shannen Rodriguez
I’ll be with you every step of the way
Hi, I’m Shannen, a dedicated loan officer with America’s #1 Retail Mortgage Lender. With determination and a focus on personal care, I help first-time homebuyers finance the home of their dreams. My background in business has taught me how to listen, educate and find solutions that truly fit people’s goals.
I joined the mortgage industry in 2025 because I was ready for a new challenge and a change in my career. I wanted more freedom in my schedule while still being able to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset. Being a loan officer allows me to combine independence with the drive and determination that comes with building something of my own.
Aside from helping people finance their dream homes, I’m a mother with three beautiful children. Together, we love trying out new experiences! Every year, I try to go somewhere new with my family to make memories together. My goal in life is to teach my children to always have goals that will lead to happiness.

A general guideline is to spend no more than 28% of your gross monthly income on housing costs and 36% on total debt.

A good credit score typically starts at 620 for conventional loans, while FHA and VA loans may accept scores as low as 500, though higher scores offer better terms. A strong credit score can help you secure lower interest rates, saving you significant money over the life of a home loan.

A Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a revolving line of credit that allows homeowners to borrow against the equity in their home. HELOCs function like a credit card, giving access to funds up to a set limit, which can be used for expenses like renovations or debt consolidation. You only pay interest on the amount you borrow, and the repayment terms typically include a draw period followed by a repayment period.
