Cleveland Browns fan Monica Martinez, of Maumee, Ohio, is the winner of the $25,000 grand prize in the CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM) Dedicated Dawgs Sweepstakes. CCM is the official mortgage partner of the Cleveland Browns.
Through the sweepstakes, Monica and her family were invited to tour CCM’s new headquarters in the Superior Arts District along with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the CCM Campus in Berea. Afterwards, Martinez and her family were greeted by 30 Browns employees during a clap out, which led them to the CCM Campus practice field.
Emotions were running high as Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, team mascots “Chomps” and “Brownie the Elf,”and Laura Soave, chief brand officer for CrossCountry Mortgage announced Martinez was the winner of the $25,000 grand prize.
“This is so special for me and my entire family,” said Martinez. “We grew up watching the Browns with my dad. He was a huge fan. When he passed away in 2018, we were devastated. I dedicated myself to keeping his legacy alive. I know how happy my dad would be to see the Browns continue to bring his family together. I know he’s watching down on us.” Martinez brought a photo of her dad along with them during the tours. Martinez says she plans to use some of the money to reunite her entire family and take them to a Browns game.
CCM and the Browns had another surprise. They framed a photo of Martinez and her family, which was signed by Owusu-Koramoah. The photo was taken during her father’s last birthday before he passed away.
“We’re so honored to be part of this special memory for Monica,” said Soave. “We see the dedication and love she has for not only her family but her community as well. That’s part of what CrossCountry Mortgage and the Browns stand for, and we’re proud to name Monica our Dedicated Dawg!”
Martinez is also a dedicated member of her community. She’s a board member for her local dog park and involved with her local church ministry where she helps empower others.
Beyond Martinez’s $25,000 grand prize, CCM distributed additional Dedicated Dawgs Sweepstakes awards. They include an all-expenses-paid trip for two to last year’s Browns game in Miami, dozens of passes to enjoy a home game from the CrossCountry Mortgage Landing at FirstEnergy Stadium, tickets to home games in the Dawg Pound, Browns gear, and more.
“Throughout our great partnership, CrossCountry Mortgage has consistently been dedicated to the Northeast Ohio community and creating special memories and experiences for our passionate Browns fans,” said Eric Clouse, Chief Commercial Officer of the Cleveland Browns. “Monica is a great representative as this year’s Dedicated Dawg because she is so committed to her family, volunteerism and the Browns, and we look forward to her family celebrating this honor together at the stadium this fall.”
