I’ll be with you every step of the way

My name is Jamie Tillotson, and for more than a decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping people turn the dream of homeownership into a reality with America’s #1 Retail Mortgage Lender. Working with first-time homebuyers is especially rewarding to me because I know how exciting — and sometimes overwhelming — that first step can feel.

My goal is to make the mortgage process simple, comfortable and easy to understand. I take the time to answer questions, explain options and make sure my clients feel confident about each step along the way. There’s nothing better than handing the keys to someone buying their first home and knowing I helped make that moment possible.

When I’m not helping clients, I’m a wife and proud mom. We’re lucky to call the Oregon Coast home, and I love being part of the community I serve.

Whether you’re just wondering, “Could I actually buy a home?” or you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to help you take that first step into homeownership.

This includes your income, expenses, and debt-to-income ratio, to ensure your mortgage fits comfortably within your budget. A general guideline is to spend no more than 28% of your gross monthly income on housing costs and 36% on total debt.

  • A good credit score typically starts at 620 for conventional loans, while FHA and VA loans may accept scores as low as 500, though higher scores offer better terms. A strong credit score can help you secure lower interest rates, saving you significant money over the life of a home loan.

  • A Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) is a revolving line of credit that allows homeowners to borrow against the equity in their home. HELOCs function like a credit card, giving access to funds up to a set limit, which can be used for expenses like renovations or debt consolidation. You only pay interest on the amount you borrow, and the repayment terms typically include a draw period followed by a repayment period.
