Calling all local artists!

Be part of something special on the USS Cleveland. Create a lasting legacy that helps celebrate the spirit of Cleveland while honoring CrossCountry Mortgage’s (CCM) deep passion for community, connection and shared values.

All submissions should be Cleveland-centric, capturing the city’s energy, culture, landscape and resilience. Artists are encouraged to highlight the stories, landmarks and moments that make this city special, while aligning with CCM’s commitment to people and place. The goal is to evoke a strong sense of pride, belonging and character.

Submissions should follow CCM’s visual guidelines, embracing a modern, sleek aesthetic rooted in a primarily black-and-white palette with intentional pops of color. This balance should feel clean and contemporary while allowing color accents to add vibrancy and movement.

A requirement for all pieces is the thoughtful inclusion of the CCM logo. The logo should be integrated into the artwork in a tasteful and cohesive way that complements the overall design without overpowering the creative expression.

This is part of CrossCountry Mortgage’s ongoing partnership with the Cleveland Browns in support of the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly and creatively. Works can be bold, large-scale installations that fit the large wall space. Please stay away from any images or words that are copyrighted/trademarked.

By submitting artwork, images, designs, or related materials (collectively, the “Submission”), the submitting individual (“Participant”) agrees to the following terms:

1. Grant of Rights
   The Participant grants CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC (“CrossCountry”) a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, adapt, and publish the Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed. This includes, but is not limited to, use within CrossCountry facilities, artwork installations, promotional materials, digital platforms, internal communications, and public-facing content.
2. Use of Name and Attribution
   The Participant authorizes CrossCountry to use the Participant’s name, likeness, and/or any attribution information submitted in connection with the Submission, unless otherwise requested in writing at the time of submission.
3. No Compensation
   The Participant acknowledges and agrees that no compensation, payment, or other consideration will be provided in connection with the Submission or its use by CrossCountry.
4. Ownership and Originality
   The Participant represents and warrants that the Submission is original work or that the Participant has all necessary rights, permissions, and licenses to submit the Submission and authorize its use as described herein. The Participant further represents that the Submission does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any third party.
5. Waiver of Approval Rights
   The Participant waives any right to inspect or approve the finished use of the Submission, including any edits, formatting, placement, or accompanying written copy.
6. Release and Hold Harmless
   The Participant releases and agrees to hold harmless CrossCountry, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to the use of the Submission as permitted under these Terms & Conditions.
7. No Obligation to Use or Retain
   CrossCountry is not obligated to use, display, or retain any Submission and may remove, replace, or discontinue use of any Submission at any time at its sole discretion.
8. Minors
   If the Participant is under eighteen (18) years of age, the Submission must be made by a parent or legal guardian. By submitting on behalf of a minor, the parent or legal guardian represents that they have the legal authority to agree to these Terms & Conditions on the minor’s behalf.
9. Voluntary Submission
   The Participant acknowledges that the Submission is made voluntarily, without coercion or undue influence, and that the Participant has read and understands these Terms & Conditions.
10. Governing Law
    These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of the physical location where the Submission is displayed or installed.
