What is the Line of Duty Death Benefit?
The Line of Duty Death Benefit is an exclusive program for those serving as federal, state,
county, or municipal agency law enforcement officers. It provides a sense of security in a time of need
for surviving family members. When a spouse/partner passes away, mortgage payments may become harder to make. At
CCM, we strongly support those who protect and serve. And to honor them for making the ultimate sacrifice, CCM agrees to cancel the combined balances of the borrower’s loan(s) up to $525,000. It’s our way of
saying thank you.
The Line of Duty Death Benefit covers any work-related activities involving external force
and violence, as well as heart attack or stroke that may occur during training or any other stressful
event. The benefit is for all first responders, whether you are a borrower or co-borrower, and the officer must be 70 years of age or younger at the time of loan inception. This is not an insurance policy, but rather a debt protection
program.
